Firefighter Logistics / Equipment and assets
Equipment and asset tracking by station and apparatus
Firefighter Logistics keeps one register of your department's equipment - what you own, which station or apparatus has it, and what it is worth - and adds up what each station and rig costs, ready for the budget.
What is where
Radios, meters, tools and other equipment each have a place on the register: in the warehouse, at a station, on an apparatus, or with a member. When something moves, the register moves with it, and anyone who needs to know can look it up on a phone instead of calling around.
Loans that come back
Equipment lent to a station, a rig or a member shows who has it and since when. What is overdue stands out on the department's overview, so a spare does not quietly become someone's permanent kit.
Cost by station and apparatus
Supplies issued and equipment assigned are recorded against the station and apparatus that received them. When it is time to justify a line item, what each station and each rig cost over the year is already added up, by month or by category.
For the people who use it
- The logistics officer sees the whole department.
- Stations and crews see what is theirs.
- The chief sees cost, without asking for a spreadsheet.
